As a UM students or staff you can use the workstations available by logging with your UM IT Account username and password. These workstations display the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) where you can search for books, dissertations, audio-visual material together with Melitensia and Reference material available at the Main Library and its branch libraries.
Collections pertaining to Philosophy, Religion, Theology, History, Economics, Management and Finance are housed on this floor.
Photocopying and a printing machine are available on Level 2.
On Level 2 you will also find the Library Director's office, the Reader Services Manager's office, the Resources, Acquisitions and Cataloguing Departments as well as the Melitensia Special Collection.

Collections pertaining to the Social Sciences, Law, Education, Music, Art and Architecture, Language and Literature, Sciences, Engineering, Window of Shanghai, oversize books and pamphlet boxes are housed on this floor.
The floor is surrounded by the Archives and Rare Books Department, the Fine Arts Collection, and the Audio-visual Collection. The Retro-conversion Unit, IT Office and Seminar Room are located on this floor too.
The Fine Arts Collection, located on Level 3, contains an extensive collection of books on art, artists, sculptures and art history. It also houses the prestigious Isabelle Borg Collection and over-sized books related to Art. Permission to visit and/or work in the Fine Arts Room must be sought from the Floor Librarian. Due to space limitations one or two persons are allowed to stay in any one time. Borrowing books is restricted.
