Loaded antennas

Abstract

This paper deals mainly with 'Loaded Antennas'. Chapter one is a slight deviation from the topic but serves as a basis to the problems which are encountered at these type of frequencies. Chapters two and three are a theoretical approach to the problem of loaded antennas, their properties and current distribution, both passive and active loading is considered but only passive loading is treated practically. A more general approach to antenna measurements is given in Chapter four and gives an insight to some of the practical ideas used later on. Chapters five, six and seven deal with practical measurements and design of the antennas with special reference to matching and to the current distributions on the three different passive loaded antennas mainly base, centre and top loaded.
