Abstract: Background: Domperidone is a dopamine receptor antagonist, stimulating prolactin release as a side effect resulting in enhanced lactation and therefore used ‘off label’ as a galatogogue. Although it is effective, it is associated with potential cardiac health risks which threaten the overall safety of its use in this context.
