| Abstract: | EDIC University and the Institute for European Studies hosted Professor Dimitris Chryssochoou (University of Athens) for a public lecture about the Ancient Greek concepts and how they apply to our modern interpretation of European Integration. The public talk was well attended and included the Greek Ambassador. The ideas discussed by Prof Chryssochoou were based on his chapter in the Institute’s second annual publication. In his chapter Prof. Chryssochoou discusses the European Union and ideas of the demos and illustrated how the Ancient Greek ideas of a demos are not so distant from the Union we already have. |
