| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and The Choral Society present the programme for their vocal and instrumental concert, conducted by Brian Schembri, and starring singers Antoinette Miggiani (soprano), Phyllis Bajada Abram (soprano), Lydia Caruana (soprano), Andrew Sapiano (tenor), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (mezzo soprano), Catherine Gauci (soprano), and Jimmy Mifsud (tenor). The concert featured the musical works Purcell and Telemann. The concert also featured a musical performance of the songs of the opera "Dido and Aeneas", composed by Purcell. The performance was held on the 9th of June, 1989, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme included, one with performers' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include list of featured music including composers and descriptions with few biographical notes, list of cast singers in Purcell's opera "Dido and Aeneas", description of "Dido and Aeneas", note with photo on featured musician Michael Felder, and list of acknowledgements from the Manoel Theatre Management Committee.
