| Abstract: | A petition, signed by thousands of the most intelligent and independent of the inhabitants of Malta will, in a few days, be presented to the Honourable the Commons of Great Britain and Ireland in Parliament assembled, and it cannot be gainsaid that the future wellbeing, contentment, and good government of this Island hang on the success of that Petition.
