| Abstract: | The current deliverable is a compilation of two highly dependent tasks: one task analysed the previous work done concerning the land monitoring development at EU level by looking at the evolution of concepts and technologies together with the ongoing workshops and projects taking place in parallel; the other task was focused on the documentation of the land monitoring activities developed at Member States and also at sub-national level in order to be able to map a who-is-who directory of the land monitoring stakeholder community at national and sub-national level and produce a summary table to facilitate the assessment and interpretation of the different cases in the various member states. The aim of both activities is to provide a general understanding of the evolution and current panorama of the land monitoring programme at different administrative levels, in order to provide the basis for the HELM Consortium to build upon what has been already achieved and at the same time, to have a clear overview of the current situation and the improvements that can be proposed. |
