Abstract: 'Ye know well enough from our previous dissertation what does St. John actually mean by speaking of the Christians as being the "children of God" and even a" being the "begotten of God". By this phraseology. it was pointed out, he refers to a real divine begetting by which all those who believe in Christ become really the children of God.
