Abstract: | The object of holding an autopsy after each fatal traffic accident is primarily to establish a direct relationship of cause and effect between the accident and the fatal result. Incidentally, however, it achieves another object as well which may be regarded as being equally important because each autopsy will as part of a pattern yield information which may lead to the devising of ways and means of lessening the number of accidents, or at least of preventing their fatal termination. |
