| Abstract: | Archaeology Services Cooperative Ltd (ASC) was commissioned for the compilation of a report about the history of tunny fishing in Malta with a particular focus on the Mellieħa Tonnara. The aim of this report is to present the results of this research that was carried out. This report presents a general overview of the practice of tunny fishing in Malta, and focuses both on the Mellieħa tonnara as well as on similar practices of tunny fishing in Sicily. |
