During this year's Discover University the visits by secondary school students, held on Wednesdays, have been going on since October. The visits start off with an encounter with the Student Advisory Services and after that the students participate in various activities such as workshops, information sessions, tours of the laboratories, the Library and IT Services. During March a number of students from the Sixth Forms will be visiting campus. The Discover University visits schedule for the February and March is available on the website
The highlight of Discover University will span throughout the months of February and March. A concert, Versatile Brass, will be held on Saturday 20 February at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall, Msida Campus. The concert is free but booking is required. Visit the webpage for full details.
On 4 March there will be the inauguration of the exhibition 'Building Futures: the making of the Msida Campus'. The exhibition will run on until 18 March and will be open to the public. The inauguration of the exhibition is especially aimed at alumni of the University of Malta. On this occasion the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award (OAAA) will be conferred to the chosen graduates of the University of Malta who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership.
Run Walk Relay is being organised by MUHC and will be held on Sunday 13 March, as part of Discover University. Now in its fifth edition, the fun run is open to participants of all ages. This is an excellent team-building activity consisting of the 5km Run/Walk, the 2km Run/Walk, the 5km Relay and the 800m Children’s Fun Run. This event will take place at the University Athletics Track. Half the proceeds will be donated to Hospice Malta. The closing date for registration is Wednesday 9 March.
