Traineeship Opportunity at WTO

The World Trade Organisation has opened up applications for their Young Professional Programme.  The the one year programme is a unique opportunity for qualified young professionals up to the age of 32 years, as at 1 January 2027. 

Selected young professionals are allocated to a specific division of the WTO Secretariat in accordance with the needs and priorities of the organization and based on the areas of interest of the young professional.

Each Young Professional may express interest in no more than three areas of WTO work; and should state their order of preference.

Participants under the programme receive a monthly salary of CHF 4,000. The WTO also provides appropriate medical cover and travel costs.

Applicants may register via the WTO external jobs platform. The system provides instructions for online application procedures.

Applicants must submit a letter of motivation along with the completed online application. Applications close on Thursday 7 May.

Applicants must also notify the University Knowledge Transfer Office of their submission by sending an email.
