Elton joined the University of Malta in 2011 within the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences (MAKS), providing administrative support across its departments before focusing on the Department of Media and Communications as the Faculty’s administrative team expanded.

During his time at MAKS, he also served as Personal Assistant to the Dean and coordinated the administration of the Faculty Dissertation Committee and Faculty Research Ethics Committee. His responsibilities included managing the Faculty’s online presence and representing it at career fairs. Across these roles, he served as a central point of contact for staff and students, offering guidance and administrative support.

In May 2021, Elton moved to the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as Administrator for the Department of Artificial Intelligence. In this role, he coordinated departmental administration, supported students and worked closely with academic staff to facilitate the department’s day-to-day operations.

Since November 2024, he has served as Administrator for the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering within the Faculty of ICT. Alongside departmental administration and student support, he is responsible for the administration of three postgraduate courses, one undergraduate course and one certificate course within the Faculty.
