About

The SPEECHIE project aims at developing a healthcare device in the form of a toy that will support young children (3-5yrs) in being better communicators by minimising speech and language impairment. See our progress!

How SPEECHIE is developing

We believe in SPEECHIE and its need among children. We are excited and we want to share every little progress we do with you.
Research
A user-centred design approach is being taken in order to design the SPEECHIE device. Through every phase of the project, all potential users, including clinicians, educators, parents and language-impaired/ mainstream children, are being involved in order to obtain and design for their needs.
Design
Design starts from the moment an idea is conceived. However, it is a challenging process that goes through different phases. Having captured the requirements, now it is time to design different form solutions and let the users experience how speech-language intervention can be fun, motivating and fulfilling.
Development
Prototyping is the key to build fast conceptual proposals and show them to the participants of the project. Development is a journey of building low- to high-fidelity prototypes and continuous testing with users.
