DESCRIPTION Students will spend time, in small groups, with research workers on a profile of different projects, and will thus gain first hand experience on various research techniques. The projects will involve both laboratory-based pharmacology research, clinical-based research, as well as research on medicines use. The specific research areas will be selected from year to year, depending on current ongoing projects, however every student will spend a total of 4 ECTS equivalent of contact hours, being exposed to different research tools and techniques, and obtaining hands-on experience in the application of such tools.

- Explain the theoretical basis of such tools and techniques.

2. Skills
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Apply a profile of molecular pharmacology laboratory experimental techniques;
- Apply a profile of clinical pharmacology research techniques;
- Apply a profile of qualitative research techniques on medicines use.
