Intellectual property

The UM Intellectual Property (IP) policy governs the ownership rights emanating from research and materials produced by University staff and students, and establishes objectively fair and equitable criteria for the transfer of knowledge.

UM regards the creation and exploitation of IP as an important objective and thus promotes and supports this activity with a view to maximise its socio-economic benefits.
