DESCRIPTION Content:

The study-unit will be organized around the following topics: the Dimension of the Marketing Concepts; Product Planning and Development; Marketing Communications; Pricing Policy and Distribution Management.

Study-unit Aims:

Objectives:

The aim of this unit is to instill in the participants an understanding of the domain of marketing and equip them not only with appropriate skills but with a marketing orientation.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Identify core concepts of marketing and the role of marketing in business and society;
- Knowledge of social, legal, ethical and technological forces on marketing decision-marketing.

2. Skills:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Ability to collect, process, and analyze consumer data to make informed marketing decisions;
- Ability to analyze marketing problems and provide solutions based on a critical examination of marketing information;
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills to real-world experiences in an internship. Note: Specific outcomes will vary by assigned internship experience.
