Pharmacy Practice Resource Unit

The Pharmacy Practice Resource Unit (PPRU) is a mock pharmacy present on the ground floor of the Pharmacy Department and serves as an information centre for pharmacy students. There are several medicines and pharmaceutical devices on display and drug literature about each medicine is available.

The Pharmacy Practice Resource Unit (PPRU) is a laboratory which includes a mock pharmacy. It is located on the ground floor of the Department of Pharmacy and is intended for teaching and research aspects of pharmacy practice. A number of medicinal products and medical devices are on display as well as drug literature about different products is available.

In the PPRU students may:

  • Search for a particular medicinal product or dietary supplement and find information about it through the PPRU database on the computer, books, literature and patient information leaflets.
  • View medicinal products with the advantage of being able to open the packaging.
  • View and use various medical devices.
  • View discontinued preparations and formulations.
  • View wound care management products.

All students are kindly requested to bring and wear their lab coat in the PPRU.

Students are kindly asked to contact Ms Francesca Wirth about any matter regarding the PPRU.
