DESCRIPTION | Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy is one of the most widely-used Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy in the world. This study-unit presents a basic therapy primer for students who are health care workers in Malta. It will seek to provide students with an elementary knowledge of the acupuncture and moxibustion, including the introduction to therapy of clinical common diseases. Study-unit Aims: This study-unit aims to enable students to comprehend the essentials of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy for clinically common diseases. It also aims to help foster the students’ interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Learning Outcomes: By the end of this study-unit, the students will be able to: 1. understand the basic opinion of traditional Chinese medicine in clinically common disease, such as etiology ,pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, therapeutic principle; 2. administer acupuncture and moxibustion to treat clinical common diseases; 3. be more familiar with some acupuncture techniques and further understand their significance. |
