| DESCRIPTION | This undergraduate study-unit is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to develop a strong art portfolio, a crucial component for admission to the Master's degree in Teaching and Learning Art. The study-unit will focus on both the technical aspects of portfolio creation and the pedagogical strategies for effectively communicating artistic intent and process. The study-unit will seek to focus on areas of individual relevance for different students and simultaneously improve the students' mastery of key skills, understanding of important principles in the creation of artistic work and portfolio development, and to strengthen students' awareness of the connections between artistic work and pedagogical strategies. Study-Unit Aims: This study-unit aims to help students to conceptualise and produce a diverse range of artistic work, based on specific students' needs. Students will be supported as they recognise areas for improvement, develop a strong artistic voice and learn to clearly articulate intentions and reflections about artistic ideas and communication strategies.
