| DESCRIPTION | This programme links strongly with Music Development Theories; It works to strengthen factors influencing musical development: Sight Reading, Aural Skills, Practice, Preparation, Performance and Careers in Music. Study-unit Aims: To familiarise students with the tools needed to become a Professional Musician. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: Identify those activities which distinguish effective, well managed programmes that influence musical development. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: Explain and solve the theoretical bases of various musicianship skills and illustrate them with examples from music excerpts of different eras.
