DESCRIPTION This study-unit continues from the units German A1.1 to A2.2 and takes students to intermediate level German. The participants will learn language skills for getting by, with sufficient vocabulary to express themselves on topics such as work, family, hobbies and interests, travel, and current events. They will train frequently used phrases and patterns associated with more predictable situations as well as relating to their interests and needs. Whilst there will be a focus on spoken German in class, all other skills will be trained on intermediate level as well: listening, reading and writing. The participants will be guided in applying linguistic rules and familiar patterns to new contexts.

Study-unit Aims:

The study-unit is designed to deepen and improve students' language skills at intermediate level.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- demonstrate a deeper understanding of correct German language use.

2. Skills:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- express him/herself more fluently in German;
- use German more effectively in everyday-life as well as more specific contexts;
- actively use a more wide vocabulary and more complex sentence structures.
