| DESCRIPTION | This third study-unit on German grammar will focus on the word order in subordinate clauses. Different connectors (consisting of one or two parts) will be introduced and applied. Furthermore, important noun-verb-combinations and the use of modal particles will be practised. For this purpose various types of exercises will be used. In diesem dritten Kurs zur deutschen Grammatik wird die Satzstellung im Nebensatz eingehend behandelt. Verschiedene Konnektoren (einteilige und zweiteilige) werden eingeführt und angewandt. Zudem werden wichtige Nomen-Verb-Verbindungen trainiert sowie die Verwendung von wichtigen Modalpartikeln eingeübt. Zu diesem Zweck werden verschiedene Aufgabentypen herangezogen. Study-unit Aims: This study-unit aims to: - deepen the students' awareness about more complex structures of German; - exercise the use of more complex grammatical structures in German; - enhance the understanding of more complex structures in German texts. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - identify and understand the grammatical structures mentioned in the course description; - know how to improve textual coherence in written German; - know how to use common collocations in German; - understand more nuances in German language use. 2. Skills By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - use complex sentence structures in German correctly; - use improved reading and writing skills; - explain important grammatical features of German.
