| DESCRIPTION | Prerequisites: LIN1050 or equivalent Objectives This study-unit is designed to give the second-year student the opportunity to do field work within Developmental Psycholinguistics. Content The study will focus on a topic selected by the student from within the area of study of the acquisition of a first language. The choice of informant/s is made. A relevant bibliography is determined and a work-plan devised. Data is usually video-recorded. The transcription and data analysis and report are discussed in detail as work progresses.
