DESCRIPTION Dan il-unit huwa maħsub għal min diġà għandu ħakma ħafifa tal-ilsien Malti. Min jidħol għalih jitgħallem jikkomunika bil-Malti f’bosta sitwazzjonijiet li jiltaqa’ magħhom fil-ħajja ta’ kuljum; ngħidu aħna, fuq il-post tax-xogħol, fl-università, fil-ħwienet, fil-postijiet ta’ divertiment u fl-imkejjen pubbliċi. Il-unit tfassal fuq il-prinċipji tal-Qafas Ewropew Komuni ta’ Referenza għall-Ilsna tal-Kunsill tal-Ewropa (CEFR). L-istudenti li jiksbu t-taqsima studju MAL0012 jistgħu jitqiesu li laħqu l-Livell Bażiku A1 tas-CEFR.

This study-unit is designed for students who already have some knowledge of Maltese. Participants will learn how to communicate in Maltese in select situations of daily life, such as at work, at university, in shops, in places of entertainment and in public places. The study-unit is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe. Hence, on completion of MAL0012, successful students may be considered to have achieved the Basic Level A1 of the CEFR.

Mitlub/Pre-requisite: Normalment MAL0011* / Normally MAL0011**

* Normalment, l-istudenti jridu jkunu temmew MAL0011 b’suċċess qabel ma jibdew MAL0012. Iżda l-istudenti jistgħu jiġu eżentati minn dan jekk, fil-fehma tad-Dipartiment tal-Malti, ikunu jafu biżżejjed Malti biex isegwu MAL0012 bi profitt.

** Normally, a pass in MAL0011 is needed for a student to be admitted to MAL0012, but the Department of Maltese may exempt a student from the prerequisite if in its opinion the student knows enough Maltese to be able to follow MAL0012 profitably.
