DESCRIPTION Il-kors jagħti ħarsa lejn ir-rappreżentazzjoni tal-Mediterran u l-ħolqien tal-immaġinarju Mediterranju fil-letteratura Maltija. Il-kunċett tal-Mediterranjetà jitqies bħala kostruzzjoni kulturali li tiddefinixxi r-relazzjoni tal-kittieba Maltin mar-reġjun u d-diskors li jsir dwaru. Il-kors iħares lejn il-kitbiet analitiċi ewlenin tal-awturi Maltin dwar ir-reġjun u l-karatteristiċi tiegħu, fosthom dawk ta’ Francis Ebejer u Oliver Friggieri, fid-dawl tar-riflessjonijiet ta’ awturi u kritiċi barranin minn Camus u Braudel sa Fabre, Cassano u Herzfeld, u jqis ix-xebh u d-differenzi bejn id-diskors analitiku u letterarju Malti dwar ir-reġjun. Il-kors jistħarreġ l-immaġinarju Mediterranju fost l-oħrajn fix-xogħlijiet letterarji ta’ Juann Mamo, Dun Frans Camilleri, Francis Ebejer, Mario Azzopardi, Daniel Massa, Frans Sammut, Joe Friggieri, Alfred Sant, u Walid Nabhan.
