- to recognise how ecological problems are rooted in current economic models;
- to consider economics as a theory of human choice in the light of conditions of scarcity, and that economic choices therefore belong to the domain of ethical and moral reasoning;
- To identify the particular economic, social and political values that are needed to sustain human (and other) life;
- to explain the notion of a circular economy, and identify some best practices;
- to recall the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and how it integrates economic growth with a sustainable development;
