DESCRIPTION This is the second study-unit dedicated to development of research skills. In this unit students develop a research proposal and identify research tools required, seek all relevant approvals and establish pilot studies.

Guidelines on the submission are available on the Department website.

Study-unit Aims:

- To develop pharmacy practice project: planning, selection of data and preparation of protocol.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to apply regulatory and ethical principles when conducting research or using research results.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:
- design a study to test proposed hypothesis;
- reflect on published literature;
- disseminate description of pharmacy practice research studies as a poster;
- written protocol for pharmacy practice research study;
- demonstrate scientific academic writing skills.
