DESCRIPTION An introduction to Institutional ‘embeddedness’ of economic activity. ‘Performativity’ of economic and management discourses. Theory of ‘Régulation’: crisis of Fordism and later accumulation regimes. Sociological dimensions of Labour and Capital mobility. New Institutional Economics, a sociological appreciation. Pierre Bourdieu and economic sociology. Pioneer work of Harrison C. White, Mark Granovetter, Richard Swedberg, Karin Knorr Cetina and others. Application of Economic Sociology to the concrete analysis of specific cases (chosen on the basis of students’ interests).
