|DESCRIPTION||Students will be expected to spend 40 hours in an agency or department where social analysis and/or social planning is implemented.
The student will be assessed on the basis of this experience and in consultation with members of the Agency where the placement takes place.
To ensure that students of Sociology acquire the skill to apply sociological perspectives to life in a real-life context.
1. Knowledge & Understanding:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to discuss how sociology is applied to real life.
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to analyse what factors need to be focused on in analyzing aspects of social life.
