TITLE Aspects of Spanish Language and Grammar 4

UM LEVEL 02 - Years 2, 3 in Modular Undergraduate Course

MQF LEVEL 5

ECTS CREDITS 4

Based on the student's prior knowledge, acquired in the units Aspects of Spanish Language & Grammar 1-3, the goal of this study-unit is to focus on the particularly complex structures of Spanish, which owing to their complexity, were only addressed in a somewhat general manner in the previous courses. The more problematic aspects of the grammar of Spanish will be dealt with, such as as are the opposition 'ser' and 'estar', past tenses, impersonality and the values of pronoun. The grammatical analysis of these issues will take place from different perspectives (morphological, syntactic, etc.). In addition,we shall compare the visions of these problems that have been offered by various specialists on grammar and language to establish the nature of the difficulties presented by these issues both native speakers and non-natives.
