DESCRIPTION The focus of this unit is to give the students the opportunity to acquire the basic technical, tactical and physical components of the games of Ultimate Frisbee, Tchoukball and Handball. Various methods will be used to allow the students to gain confidence in playing these games, thus becoming able to play this game and to keep fit and healthy.

This unit aims at providing students with knowledge and hands-on experience of the different basic techniques that are used in Ultimate Frisbee, Tchoukball and Handball

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the unit the student will know the technical, tactical and physical requirements to play a successful game of the three innovative games at recreational level.

Unit Material:

Appropriate unit material will be provided by the tutor during the sessions.

Assessment:

In keeping with the spirit of Degree Plus, there is no formal assessment associated with the unit. A certificate of attendance and of satisfactory completion of the unit will be provided at the end of the semester.

Attendance is obligatory and students need to have a minimum of 50% attendance.

 
ADDITIONAL NOTES This unit may not be offered if there are an insufficient number of applicants.
