| Guidelines for submission of Papers
The International Journal of Emotional Education is an academic peer-reviewed journal providing space for high quality, empirically based papers on effective intervention and evaluation in the area of emotional education. The papers are accessible to practitioners working in the area. A key feature of the journal will be the variety of papers which will be published. Papers may vary from 5000 to 6,000 words, but may not exceed 7000 words including references, figures, tables and appendices.
The Editors accept papers on any area related to emotional education, including:

Emotional intelligence
Social and emotional development
Educational resilience
Social and emotional health
Social and emotional literacy
Social and emotional competence
Social, emotional and behaviour difficulties
Health promotion in schools
Mental health in children and young people
Mental health in schools
Behaviour management and behaviour modification
Teaching and learning
Submitted papers will be reviewed on the basis of their relevance and contribution to the area, the quality of the research, conceptualisation and presentation, and the contemporaniety of the work presented. Papers submitted should be in English and should not have been published or under consideration for any other journal or publication. All articles will be subjected to anonymous independent peer review.
Papers for consideration should be sent as an email attachment in Word document to the editors Paul Cooper and Carmel Cefai.
Submitted papers should be presented as follows:
The First page is to include: the author's name and affiliation, together with full postal and email addresses the title of the article
The second page is to include:
an abstract between 100-200 words
5 keywords
The third page is to include the title at the top of the paper (without the author’s name) followed by the entire manuscript. The manuscript is to be in New Roman text, 11 pt, double spacing, with right and left margins at least 3.5 cm each, no indentation, with all pages numbered.
Figures and tables should have their positions marked clearly in the manuscript and included on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. Figure numbers should be shown as Arabic numerals, table numbers as Latin numerals. Headings and sub-headings should be clearly distinguished.
References should be provided in the text with the authors name followed by the year in brackets; if a direct quote is used the page number will be added. Any references cited in the article need to be included in an alphabetical reference list at the end. Information that reveals the identity of the author should not appear in the entire text, including references.
Footnotes should not be used in the text, but endnotes may be used instead, marked in the text by numbers within square brackets [1]
Acknowledgements are to appear at the very end of the paper

Reproduction of published papers: Authors may reproduce a pre-publication version of their paper (i.e. one which is not a straight reproduction of the version in the journal), indicating that the paper has been published in the International Journal of Emotional Education, including full citation details. |
