Issue Date: 2016
Abstract: Traffic congestion is a problem everyone faces throughout their busy lives, and occurs when existing traffic exceeds the available capacity of one or more road segments. This leads to significant increase in travel time, fuel consumption and environmental pollution. It also tests drivers' stress levels and patience, making them more prone to traffic accidents and hazards in the road network. This project's objective is to attempt to reduce traffic congestion through modelling and simulation of a road network.
