Abstract: A talk organised by the Augustinian Institute and given by Prof Karla Pollmann entitled: St Augustine the Algerian is meant as a provocation and not as a description of a past historical reality. Professor Dr Karla Pollmann is a professor of Classics researching in the areas of Classical to Late Antiquity, patristics, the history of exegesis and hermeneutics, and the thought of Augustine of Hippo and its reception.
