| Abstract: | The story of chameleons in the Maltese Islands is a story of survival and adaptation. In fact, though not a native species, the Chamaeleo chamaeleon or Mediterranean chameleon has adapted very well to the environment of our islands, managing to become, in less than a century, an integral part of the Maltese herpetofauna. |
