Abstract: A rundown of the geological and geomorphological features found in the Zebbug and Marsalforn region in Gozo. The author describes the features found on both sides of the Zebbug Mesa and how they differ. The different geomorphological processes which have been acting in such a small region since the late Miocene, have created diverse exposures of various geological structures. This calls for environmental concern for the Żebbuġ mesa and Marsalforn Bay so as to preserve their natural environment as it is continuously changing by natural physical processes and also by diverse actions of mankind.
