Abstract: One of the greatest similarities between the international cooperative principles and the human resource management and development strategies lies within the training and development field. In theory both domains recognise the importance of having a trained and educated workforce. One of the most basic assumptions on which human resource development is built is that people work better and harder when their potential has been developed, when they feel fulfilled and when their ambitions are realised.
