Abstract: One of the central efforts of catholic theology has always been to comprehend the mystery whereby we are made participants of the divine life and admitted into the society of the Father and of His Son Jesus Christ. To this effort of understanding Pope Pius XII has given new impetus by the famous Encyclical "Mystici Corporis" , in 1943.
