Abstract: Public Management at Heritage Malta is in charge of heritage sites which are part of the Maltese identity. The Education Department at Heritage Malta works with schools to inject into children a passion for our heritage. Through collaboration between Education organisations and Heritage Malta they try to reach common goals, that of teaching future generations about their heritage. This research analysed the work that is being done by Heritage Malta and explores whether it is addressing early learners in their activities. Six head teachers from Primary State schools in Gozo took part in this research. Two other public managers from Heritage Malta were also interviewed. Lack of communication exists between the two organisations which results in a poor participation by Gozo schools in activities organised by Education Department at Heritage Malta. After a meeting between the two organisations these issues were addressed. Activities for kindergarten children have just started to be organised. Activities for children with multiple impairments are also in their initial stage. The education team at Heritage Malta lacks human resources. Engaging more expertise will increase and ameliorate the service. More training is necessary for staff.
