| Abstract: | The editor of the Journal of Maltese Studies, J. Aquilina, emphasizes on the need for the Maltese language to be given a priority, especially at the University of Malta. He also states in the article that more emphasis should be given to the Department of Maltese, since it is according to him, under-staffed. This article was written right after Malta became Independent from Great Britain. |
