Abstract: The online phenomenon has significantly developed the need of e-technology implementation in businesses. The purpose of this thesis is to create a business plan for an e-ticketing business in combination with standard distribution of tickets, and evaluate its potential in Maltese market. The business model that is proposed in this thesis is a mix of online and offline commerce of tickets to different types of events such as theatre, concerts, sports, family events, and seminars. This study intends to delve deeper into Maltese ticketing businesses, to analyze the market and recognize whether or not the business plan presented in this work is to be established in Malta with a realistic possibility of reaching its targets. The main objective of this research is to recognize the potential for a business model of online and offline distribution of tickets, to calculate the costs, and expected return on investment as well as to create marketing and sales strategies. Having recognized the key success factors and profitability of the business will enable to decide whether or not it is worth implementing this business plan in reality. The conclusions reached had revealed that this type of business can become a successful and innovative business in Malta, however with quite a few conditions. Having ensured that necessary contacts are in place together with the primarily investment required, would result in a very profitable business allowing to then expand to foreign markets.
