Abstract: | Often, people talk about urban regeneration and the need to regenerate our historic areas. What does urban regeneration mean? One definition offered for regeneration is: "Regeneration is the holistic process of reversing the economic, physical and social decline of places where market forces alone won't suffice." (Source: " Achieving a Sustainable Future: Regeneration Strategy", the Government of Scotland, Edinburgh 2011). |
