Abstract: Architecture has been defined as "the most genuine expression of the historical events that produced it". The author shall begin with a brief historical introduction of the two islands (Sicily and Malta), then continue on by talking about the similarities in architecture. In all the quotations drawn from classical literature, the name of Malta and that of Sicily are connected, and any reference to one of the islands finds an immediate echo in the history of the other.
