Indagine sulle motivazioni e sulle aspettative delle studentesse che studiano l'italiano nella terza media

Abstract

This dissertation investigates the motivation and expectations of Form 3 female students studying Italian in 10 different Maltese state schools. This research will be based on a questionnaire dealing with different types of lessons of Italian, namely grammatical lessons, vocabulary lessons and/or cultural lessons. The research will be corroborated by means of a literature review and an interview with some of the teachers of the above mentioned students. Moreover we will investigate whether it is the intention of these students to continue studying the Italian language after they finish secondary school.
