| Abstract: | The main thrust of the proposed competitiveness strategy, as developed in this document, is to promote competitiveness through the fostering of enterprise to meet the emerging challenges and opportunities associated with Malta's membership in the European Union, in a rapidly globalising world. This can only be achieved through the delivery of goods and services, of the highest standards, by the private as well as the public sector. The document laid down ten requisites for a successful competitiveness strategy. A number of strategic measures were suggested on the basis ofthese ten requisites. The document also contains proposals for the implementation of the strategy, and additional measures were proposed in this regard. |
