In this day and age, knowledge of Economics is becoming increasingly important in everyday life. Hardly a day goes by that we are not bombarded with economic information which we have to try to understand. Besides being an academic discipline, Economics provides the student and the practitioner with the necessary concepts and insights required to analyse and understand our increasingly complex world. The Economics Department teaches Economics at Advanced and Intermediate level to students sitting for the University of Malta MATSEC Examination and comprises a teaching complement of six lecturing staff.
