Many people wrongly believe that marketing is simply selling and advertising. In reality it is much more than this. It is a philosophy that helps people run organisations effectively by placing the customer at the centre of the organisation's corporate existence while also focusing on the needs of both employees and stakeholders striving to build long term, value-laden relationships with a variety of publics. The academic staff members within the Marketing Department strive to make the two year stay of our students at the University of Malta Junior College as fruitful and as pleasant as possible. The staff members within the department are all highly qualified professionals with a lot of practical and academic experience in the field. Studying marketing not only better prepares students to read for a commerce or a communications degree at university but also prepares them to better face the challenges of life and in dealing with the various customers and publics in their future professional careers irrespective of whether directly working in marketing or not.
