Abstract: This research is based on the idea of how the tourism industry deals with a terrorism crisis and the impacts it leaves, mostly in specific countries that have been victims on numerous occasions. This long essay will focus on such impacts left on destinations, tourists and even locals. The research will go in depth when it comes to analysing terrorist attacks and its influence. This will determine the correlation between tourism and terrorism and the consequences of such negative behaviour. This research will also focus on the tourist’s ideas in regard to visiting and experiencing destinations that has been affected by terrorism. Furthermore, even case studies where both locals and tourists witnessed terrorism and its negative repercussions were analysed. The following destinations were mentioned altogether in order to help in determining such crisis and rebuilding the destination’s reputation, such countries include: France, Egypt, Tunisia and more. To strengthen the argument of this research, produced questionnaires were disseminated among general public so as to get an idea of the people’s opinion on this topical subject. This questionnaire helped to identify the impact of terrorism on tourism and interlinked crisis. Secondary data was used to support the arguments and trends outlined by the respondents. The outcome of the research efforts underlines the fact that tourism globally is threatened by terrorism. Nevertheless, the global tourism industry kept on growing and developing albeit these above-mentioned threats. Additionally, a terrorist attack tends to be forgotten easier than thought. Though, one cannot forget the innocent deaths, employment lost and economic repercussions of terrorist attacks, results verify that according to respondents’ tourist destination effected by terrorism will rebound into normality in a relatively short period of time. Consequently, the negative effects of a terrorist attack are temporary.
