Abstract: The main aim of this research is to examine the effects of cultural diversity in the iGaming sector in Malta. This industry has a variety of nationalities amongst which are the Maltese, Italian and Swedish nationalities. These nationalities are going to be examined in the context of cultural differences. The literature revised examines classical cultural diversity dimensions and models, along with more up-to-date data. The methodology used was of unstructured in depth interviews. Maltese, Italian and Swedish employees participated in these in depth interviews. This type of methodology helped me to explore the different beliefs and perception of the Maltese, Italians and the Swedish employees at the place of work. Furthermore, past literature is important in the generation of themes and analysis of the outcomes, as the majority of data that was collected from the unstructured interview, could be categorised under topics that were already present by past literature. The conclusions of this study outlined the cultural differences between the Maltese, Italians and the Swedish employees at the place of work. Challenges and opportunities brought about by cultural diversity where outlined by the final results. The main obstacles featured in this study were the different perceptions and attitude of different culture with respect to personal space, uncertainty avoidance, time and how the different orientation towards collectivism versus individualism. This research also highlighted how these differences could be turned into an opportunity in creating a better synergy amongst employees.
